Speak Out Illinois LLC will host a press conference to address the growing crisis of violence across Central Illinois, with a particular focus on Peoria County—often referred to as RiverCity.
The press conference will unveil a comprehensive statement from CEO Jacob Partee, highlighting the full spectrum of violence currently impacting the region, including:
Gun violence, shootings, and firearm-related crimes
Armed robberies, gang activity, and organized crime
Violent crimes against women, children, and families
Human trafficking, assaults, and other destabilizing acts of violence
“Our community deserves more than headlines—we deserve real solutions,” said Jacob Partee, CEO of Speak Out Illinois LLC. “This is not just a rally. It is a reckoning. We will bring accountability, empathy, and action to the forefront.”
The announcement will also outline concrete commitments from Speak Out Illinois, including:
A Survivor Resource Line connecting victims directly with trusted support.
A Youth Empowerment Network to disrupt cycles of violence by engaging schools, mentors, and clinicians.
The event calls on policymakers, law enforcement, and community leaders to collaborate on prevention, survivor support, transparency, cross-sector partnerships, and smarter legislation to address these urgent issues .
