Lawyers in the Library Program

Bringing Free Legal Guidance to Central Illinois — Now in Our 4th Year

For four years, Speak Out Illinois LLC has offered free, community-based legal guidance through our Lawyers in the Library Program.
Our mission remains simple: help residents understand their legal rights, access credible information, and make informed decisions.

Beginning this year, the program is restricted to residents of the following counties:

Peoria County
Tazewell County
Woodford County

Residents outside these counties may only be served with prior approval from the participating attorney(s).

Participants can receive free limited-scope legal guidance on civil matters such as:

Housing & landlord/tenant issues
Consumer matters
Small claims
Family Law
Orders of Protection / Civil No Contact Orders
Court forms & process questions
Rights education
Referrals

Please note:

Participating attorneys do not represent you and do not provide ongoing representation through this program.
Guidance is informational and designed to help you confidently navigate your situation.
