CRISIS SERVICE PROVIDER

We believe everyone deserves peace – every day, everywhere, any time – at home, in the workplace, at school, and out in the community.

A pioneer in providing services to victims of violence, the Center for Prevention of Abuse has grown from a single rape crisis hotline that started in 1975 to a highly respected statewide leader in working to end abuse and break the cycle of generational violence. CFPA is the only agency in the entire state sanctioned to provide its combined services of Domestic Violence, Sexual Abuse/Assault, Human Trafficking, Adult Protective Services, and Prevention Education under one roof. CFPA operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year, and all victim services are free and confidential.

Foster Village Peoria bridges the gap in resources and supports for youth and caregivers affected by the foster care system.

Foster parents often feel tired and alone. Most families foster for less than a year, citing burnout and lack of support as the reason they stop. At the same time, 85 percent of people who are not foster parents say they care about vulnerable children and want to help.

Our Resource Closet provides basic needs to families in the Tri-County Area. When a child arrives in a foster home, they often arrive with just the clothes on their back. Likewise, when a child is reunified with their parent, they have often. Outgrown what they had. At Foster Village Peoria, our resource closet equips families and children with clothing, new beds and infant gear, toiletries and other necessities – completely free.   Learn more here
